This is a short follow-up to a post from earlier in 2012 where I talked about fishing opportunities in the Hocking Hills. I started doing some fly fishing recently and have fished Clear Creek in Clear Creek Metro Park several times already this fall. The pic to the right was taken during one of my more productive outings. Clear Creek is stocked annually with brown trout, usually in October. Other anglers I’ve talked to with more experience fishing Clear Creek tell me brownies can be caught all winter but spring is the most productive time of year. By summer, few trout are left and many die because water temperatures become too warm. Our Rocky Ridge and Laurel Ridge properties are located just a few short miles from Clear Creek Metro Park. Clear Creek and the surrounding park are beautiful. Spend a couple hours fishing here and you’ll watch your worries float away downstream with the current.
